Hilary F. Laferrière-Boly, LAc

Hilary earned her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida and her BA in Education and Human Development from Prescott College in Arizona.

Hilary's approach with Oriental Medicine is listening to her patients and their vision for optimum health. For all of us being truly healthy includes physical well-being and emotional balance, fulfillment in relationships, financial stability, mental focus, and a joyful spirit.

"Practicing medicine this way makes it more interesting than just treating shoulder pain-I attend to the shoulder pain in conjunction with all aspects of the whole person. I see my role as affirming my patients' uniqueness and nourishing their destinies. By coming to me for care, my patients offer me the opportunity to do what I love, and nourish what I believe is my life work-to practice this magical medicine," she explains.

"I love that each point's name is poetry. Sometimes "a bubbling spring" is just the point to wash away the pain and rubbish while offering pure, fresh, nutrient-rich mountain spring water to take it's place. That is wonderfully exciting," she says.

Hilary is certified in the National Acupuncture Detoxification Associaton (NADA) treatment protocol, developed to assist in detoxifying the body and healing addictions. It is also being studied for use in psychological conditions including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Hilary is certified in Oriental Facial Rejuvenation (acupuncture for face lift), Reconnective Energy healing and has training in ZeroBalancing bodywork. She is trained in acupuncture for fertility and weight loss. Hilary uses Acutonics vibrational "tuning fork" treatments in conjunction with acupuncture, or for needle-free treatments.

Hilary is a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, licensed in Oregon and Washington. She is the past President of the South Sound Acupuncture Association. Currently, Hilary is serving as President of the Oregon Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM).
